Pelvic Floor

Everything in the body is connected.

When one part of the body starts to experience dysfunction, it can create problems in other parts of the body, like a chain reaction.

If you have issues with the SI joint, you may find that having the joint constantly out of alignment can create muscle spasms and weakness.  This, in turn, can create a host of other issues.

One place it is particularly likely to cause problems is throughout your pelvis– specifically, the pelvic floor.

The pelvic floor is made up of a sling of muscles that provide support to our vital organs.  If these muscles begin to behave dysfunctionally, you may experience pain or other problems, which I’ll be discussing in the future.

Luckily, help is out there, and you don’t have to suffer alone.

To start, check out my post can pelvic floor physical therapy help the SI joint?

Additionally, here are some preliminary resources– I’ll be filling this in with more information in days to come!
